Eksigent’s EKPump is very responsive to changes in applied voltage, allowing precise flow control to be achieved with changes in voltage timing and amplitude. If a flow sensor or pressure sensor is used to detect flow information, this information can be input to a controller and utilized in a feedback loop. The controller monitors the signals from the sensors and adjusts (either up or down) the pump driving parameters to achieve the desired flow rate. In addition, the system (pump, sensor, and controller) can compensate for conditions seen in real world applications, such as backpressure and temperature changes.
